Cultural competence strategy and communications consultant, and a passionate advocate of healthy balanced lifestyle.

I've had ten years of experience helping women and cancer survivors as a leader of a grassroots organization, and another fifteen consulting for cultural competency, strategic communications, and program development. The first ten years - and research- have shown me firsthand the power of culture in healthcare decisions. In the business world, culture is no longer a knowledge you want to have to do business abroad.  In the multicultural market, we live in today, culture is critical for service delivery, program development, product marketing and strategic communications. The idea of culture as a powerful tool, inspires my desire to guide industries to "integrate cultural competency as a factor to increase productivity, create effective communications and influence positive change."

Cultural Competence defined as..."A set of behaviors, policies, and attitudes which form a system or agency which allows cross-cultural groups to effectively work professionally in situations. This includes human behaviors, languages, communications, actions, values, religious beliefs, social groups, and ethic perceptions." Definition from BusinesDictionary.com

WHAT DOES HEALTHY LIFESTYLE HAVE TO DO

WITH CULTURE AND BUSINESS?

Why wouldn't it!!

In my professional experience, I've had to solve many puzzles by exploring and understanding cultural backgrounds. Food, as part of culture, happens to be one of my passions.  Culture and health have been coming together as part of my business for twenty years, so I decided to merge my professional and personal interests in one place. Feel free to explore and decide if one has to do with the other.
